Let's be real: we are living through a global political nightmare. The world is shifting, and with every headline, every crisis, and every new wave of uncertainty, it can feel impossible to stay grounded. If you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or like the energy of the world is throwing you off - you’re definitely not alone.
You may rightfully be thinking "how can I be peaceful and happy when my basic human rights are being taken away?!" But here’s the truth: mother earth existed long before humans, and she will continue to spin long after humans. The cycles of history that we are repeating should not disconnect us from the ancient peace that resides in each of our souls.
It's OKAY to be angry. You can let your anger move through you and be expressed and be eternally at peace simultaneously. It’s easy to get swept up in fear, but you are not here to live in a constant state of stress and emotional turmoil. You are here to anchor light, embody peace, and remain spiritually clear even in the middle of chaos. The world doesn’t need more panic - it needs more people who can hold space for higher wisdom, unconditional love, and deep resilience.
So, how do you stay centered when everything around you feels unstable?
1. Detach from the Fear-Mongering Cycles
The media thrives on urgency and panic. While it’s important to stay informed, there’s a fine line between awareness and drowning in negativity. If you find yourself constantly scrolling, absorbing fear-driven narratives, and feeling emotionally exhausted, take a step back. Set boundaries. Turn off notifications. Your peace is not negotiable.
Granted, it is IMPORTANT to stay tapped-in to what's going on in the world around you. You can't just be all "love and light" while ignoring what's actually going on in the world. One thing I like to do is to READ fact-based news as opposed to listening or watching opinion-based news. This way, you are simply presented with the facts of what is going on in the world, staying informed, and not playing a part in fear-based political propaganda that is designed to control you through fear.
Even when staying neutrally informed, the facts of what's going on can begin to feel overwhelming. When that that happens, it's okay for you to take a break from it all and take care of yourself by doing the following:

2. Drop into Your Body
When fear takes over, we tend to live in our minds - spiraling into overthinking, what-ifs, and worst-case scenarios. The fastest way to reclaim your energy? Get back into your body. Back into those lower chakras that connect you to that ancient earth wisdom that all has been well long before and will continue to be well long after the socio-political dramas of the human race. Breathe deeply. Stretch. Go for a walk. Move with intention. Your body is always in the present moment - when you reconnect with it, you reconnect with peace.
The spirit of nature: the trees, mountains, rivers, and stones carry that ancient peaceful wisdom. The wilderness carries on untouched by human dramas. There is space out there to free your mind from the chaos. Go into a natural setting far away from the concrete jungles of the cities and just B R E A T H E. Imagine your worries dissipating into the open air, being lovingly transmuted back into pure Source energy by the trees and water and earth.
Dropping back down into your body, your animal consciousness, will always be the antidote to an overactive mind. However, it is important to nurture your spiritual higher-thinking side as well:

3. Strengthen Your Spiritual Hygiene
Now is the time to be diligent with your energy. Cleanse your space with smoke, sound, or intention. Ground yourself daily. Protect your energy with visualization, prayer, or shielding techniques. Stay consistent with your rituals. Think of it like spiritual armor - when your energy is strong, outside negativity won’t shake you so easily.
For my friends whose third-eyes are wide open: you especially need to be spending extra time on self-care when the collective consciousness is being hit with human-rights violation after human-rights violation. You may be subconsciously feeling off, highly empathetic to the pain, evil, greed, and just pure evil that your fellow human may be enduring. You can stay aware of your fellow human-suffering without sponging it all up in your body, mind, and soul.
We are living through times where it will be extra important to remain on top of self-care. Even if all you do today is maintain living in a clean house and a spiritually-protected body staying on top of your mental health, then you are good. The world will be a better place simply by having your empathetic loving self in a good and centered place.

4. Connect to Something Bigger
When the world feels heavy, zoom out. Connect to the divine, to your guides, to the universal flow of wisdom that transcends human chaos. Meditate. Journal. Sit in silence and ask for guidance. There is a higher intelligence at play, and when you tap into that, you remember that you are supported, even in uncertainty.
What is in your toolbox to recenter yourself in peace? When you are beginning to feel dysregulated and overwhelmed with everything going on in life, what do you need to do? For me, I know I need to spend some time alone exercising, eating home-made nutritious meals, cleaning, meditating, and catching up on my routine whenever I begin to feel dysregulated. I can identify "oh, I am feeling anxious. It's probably because I have been eating fast food the last few days and spent a little bit too much time with a fear-based friend. I could use some alone time listening to music and cleaning my house to feel better. Perhaps I can shamanic journey to speak with my guides."
Being able to identify when you are starting to feel overwhelmed and consciously being able to list off what you need to do to return back to center is one of the greatest skills a person can have in life.
5. Take Aligned Action
Staying centered doesn’t mean ignoring the world. It means engaging with it from a place of clarity instead of fear. If you feel called to act, do so intentionally. Donate, speak up, support your community - but do it from alignment, not panic. Impact is most powerful when it comes from a place of strength.
The political and economical "leaders" (dictators) of the world that are harming the everyday person and destroying our rights and economy to make their friends richer DO NOT want you to have a strong support system and community. They do not want you to realize that you have JUST AS MUCH SOUL POWER as they do. You have EQUAL the amount of power to influence the world as any of these leaders do - even without the money or attention. That is the empowerment they do not want you to have or realize, because sitting in your own peace and power is the most revolutionary thing you can do.
It is important to stay deeply connected to your personal community at this time - your friends, family, and people you talk to the most. Support each other. Ask for what you need and want, put it out there and talk about it with those around you, because oftentimes your network will find a solution to your issues. Talk about what's going on. Where are you most blessed and abundant? In money? Good advice? Time? Practical skills? Give to your community in the things that prosper naturally for you, and learn to receive from your community in the areas you do not prosper. All we have is each other.

6. Refuse To Be Silenced
You incarnated in this time for a reason. Your energy, your voice, your healing presence - these things matter. You don’t have to carry the weight of the world, but you can commit to being a source of peace, wisdom, and light in your own way.
Because when enough of us do that? The world shifts.
Stay centered. Stay grounded. Stay connected to your truth. Stay connected to your authenticity. The forces that want to negatively control you will begin by trying to make you fearful of taking up space and being yourself. Fearful to speak your native language, dress the way you want to dress, hang the flags you want to hang, speak the way you want to speak, embody your natural authenticity. Allowing this will diminish your soul, and thus your peace, and thus your power, and thus your well-being.
It is okay for you to take up space. It is safe for you to be yourself. You were born into this world for EXACTLY that reason - because the world needed someone exactly like you in order to remain in a state of harmony. If you do not like the world we currently live in, be the change you want to see. Sitting idly by and simply hoping for change will make you feel hopeless and anxious. Be yourself, loudly, as an act of peaceful rebellion.
